In 2015 Burak Cakmak was appointed Dean of the renowned Parsons School of Design.With his successful track record in creating strong partnerships, business strategy and being a sustainability expert for some of the most famous luxury brands in the world, it was clear why Parson’s sought out Burak’s expertise.

Prior to joining Parsons, Burak worked at Swarovski Group as the company's first Vice President of Corporate Responsibility where he implemented the industry’s best practice standards and led the Swarovski Waterschool Initiative's education program that reached over 2,500 schools worldwide.

Passionate about education, Burak has established projects and partnerships in the US, UK, France, China, Brazil and India. The Asian Couture Federation is pleased to present the Outstanding Contribution to Fashion Education Award to one of its most deserving recipients.
